Aaron Ward Park, named for fallen hero Aaron J. Ward of San Jacinto, is a large 5.82 acre grassy commons.  The lush lawns are perfect for an impromptu football or soccer match!

The park features many shady trees, under which you can spread a blanket and enjoy a good book or simply take in the fresh air.  Feel like a barefoot walk in the park?  This is the place for it...

If the kids are especially rambunctious, bring them to this awesome playground and let them burn off some energy.  This quality play structure features multiple slides, climbing bars, and a shaded resting platform.  The twisty slide is a fan favorite!  The mulch play surface is for safer play.  Aaron Ward Park also features two, half-court basketball pads, designed for multiple party play.

There is a lovely, shaded gazebo under which you will find several picnic benches just perfect for a summer lunch at the park!  Pack your PB&J sandwiches and juice boxes and come on down to Aaron Ward park.  For a more substantial meal, feel free to make use of our public charcoal grills!
