This is a list of current grants the City of San Jacinto is applying for, has applied for, or grant information that has been awarded to the City.

ESV-CV2 Grant
The City of San Jacinto has finalized and submitted for funding from this grant to hire and retain staff or an organization for the purpose of street outreach. 

FUNDING AWARDED: $227,821
STATUS: As of 06/31/2024, all funds have been expended. 
PROGRAMS/SERVICES: A team of 2 City Net outreach workers, and case management. Emergency housing, 5 hotel rooms. Programs offered through outreach engagement supplies, housing deposits, document ready services, transportation for appointments and reunification with family.

Grant Category: #BESANJACINTO Built Environment
Prop 68: Envision Sallee Park 
This is not a competitive grant program and maximum allocations were calculated based on a local input questionnaire. The City’s response was submitted to the Office of Grants on May 28, 2019. On June 24, 2020 staff was notified that the Per Capita allocation for all cities and local districts who submit an application for funding is $177,952. The City was also notified of eligibility to receive $19,032.21 in Urban County Per Capita funds. Eligible Projects must be capital outlay for recreational purposes, either acquisition or development, subject to the following:
• Acquisition and development projects cannot be combined.
• Each project requires a separate Application Packet.
• Multiple projects may be completed under one contract.
• A project can only have one location.
• One project that serves several parks is not permitted.
• Grantees are encouraged to partner with other grantees on projects.
• Projects not serving a “severely disadvantaged community” require a 20% match of funds. (Several of the identified projects in the City of San Jacinto are located within designated Disadvantaged Communities, therefore, these projects would not require match funds).
FUNDING AWARDED: $19,032.21
STATUS: As of 04/31/2024, all funds have been expended. 
PROGRAMS/SERVICES: Sallee Park fitness trail with seven (7) workout stations, rehabilitation of the basketball court. Staff designed/built four (4) new corn hole competition style courts and updated landscaping.

ESG-HHIP Grant 
The City of San Jacinto has finalized and submitted for funding from this grant to hire and retain staff or an organization for the purpose of continuing street outreach and case management services for FY 24/25 to lessen the impact of these services on the general fund. 

FUNDING AWARDED: $602,428
STATUS: FY 24/25 has commenced. Services with City Net and Riverside County Partners
PROGRAMS/SERVICES: A team of 2 City Net outreach workers, and case management. Emergency housing, 5 hotel rooms. Programs offered through outreach engagement supplies, housing deposits, document ready services, transportation for appointments and reunification with family. This also helps cover the dedicated deputy and CBAT officer to help support these activities.

Encampment Resolution Funding

Encampment Resolution Funding (ERF) Program is a State of California competitive grant program available to assist local jurisdictions to provide services and supports to people experiencing homelessness in encampments that results in meaningful paths to safe and stable housing. Eligible applicants include counties, Continuums of Care (CoCs), and cities of any size.

The County of Riverside applied for this grant with partnership of both the City of San Jacinto and the City of Hemet. The County of Riverside was awarded $12,065,912.49. The City of San Jacinto will receive $682,753 for eligible uses to mitigate the effects of the County of Riverside’s outreach to homeless encampments located within the San Jacinto Riverbed. The ERF grant would add an additional two City Net case managers to offset the impact on the already existing team that works in the City limits. San Jacinto authorized the City Manager to accept the funding at the June 18th, 2024, for services/ hiring to commence July 1st. Funds are to be expended by June 2026. The County of Riverside is the lead on the project.

FUNDING AWARDED:  $682,753
STATUS: Agreement with the County has been executed. City Net will begin services as soon as staffing is complete.  
PROGRAMS/SERVICES: The County's goal is to permanently house 120 individuals. A team of 2 City Net outreach workers, and case management. Emergency housing, an additional 5 hotel rooms to be added. Programs offered through outreach engagement supplies, housing deposits, document ready services, transportation for appointments and reunification with family.
